About Dr. R. P. Ilangho
- Dr. R. P. Ilangho is a renowned
Pulmonologist in Chennai with over 35 years of
experience. He
specialises in the
treatment of Asthma, Bronchitis, COPD, Sleep diseases, and Smoking problems. He is
also an
expert in Bronchoscopy
and other interventional pulmonology procedures.
Dr. Ilangho has held many significant positions like the Vice-President of BreatheEazy Clinic, for the Apollo Hospitals Group, India`s First Disease Management Programme in Asthma & COPD (Bronchitis) and the FIRST Vice-President of the Association of Pulmonologists of Tamilnadu. He has given various talks over the radio and TV.
Besides hosting regular quizzes for medical students, Dr. Ilangho has also reviewed various international and national journals. He has a special interest in conducting research in Medicine and Life-On on an ongoing basis. - He is a continuous Medical PostGraduate Teacher - heading the Apollo Respiratory Medicine Program, since 2005-when he was instrumental in procuring the licensing for the 1st PG students in Respiratory DNB [Diplomate National Board equivalent to MD degree] .He was a rotating Head of the Respiratory Medicine department as as Co-Ordinator for nearly a decade & has left the position to other younger colleagues.
